This heavy automation tool changer features three ATI fail-safe locking mechanisms to ensure high-moment capacity and strength. Compatible with existing heavy automation tool changer utility modules, the modular construction of the tool changer allows integration into applications requiring high-power, coolant, servo, DeviceNet, Ethernet, and discrete signal capabilities by incorporating separate modules that can be mounted on any of the six available flats. 19-pin connector
 TURCK, MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. The company has expanded its 1⅛-in. minifast connector line to handle even more applications with the addition of the 19-pin connector. The 19-pin minifast connector is rated for up to 300 volts, 4 amps per pin, and it is a sound solution for applications requiring a more robust, cost-effective solution than a traditional 19-pin M23 connector—including material handling in manufacturing and packaging applications. The 19-pin connector adds to the existing 9-, 10- and 12-pin 1⅛-in. minifast connector line. All connectors provide IEC IP 68 protection. Like most Turck cordsets, the minifast line offers male or female, straight and right angle connectors, standard and custom lengths, and pigtails or extensions.

Self-locking fasteners

Pulse-jet dust collector

The new TubeJet CTR collector with walk-in plenum filters dust from belt conveyors and bagging lines. Explosion relief vents, grounded filter bags, and an explosion suppression isolation system on the inlet ductwork were provided to meet current NFPA 68 and 69 codes. The Sly TubeJet CTR collector is a cylindrical design for high-pressure or high-vacuum applications. All-welded construction permits standard vacuum/pressure ranging from ±20 in. WG to ±17 in. Hg with designs available from full vacuum to ASME coded vessels to 50 psig. Round housing makes interior cleaning easy, and minimizes cold spots in high heat applications.

Epoxy adhesive
MASTER BOND INC. HACKENSACK N.J. The high-performance, low-viscosity epoxy adhesive called EP41SMED is targeted for fast, room-temperature curing bonding applications. This compound has a 5:1 mix ratio by weight and has a handling time of as little as 10 to 15 minutes at ambient temperatures. Bonds are resistant to water, oil, and many organic solvents, as well as to cold sterilants, ETO, and gamma radiation. It fully meets USP Class VI requirements and conforms to FDA requirements for food applications. The product contains no solvents or diluents and has very low shrinkage upon cure. Bonds are rigid and offer strong adhesion to a variety of similar and dissimilar substrates. These include metals, glass, ceramics, rubber, wood, and most plastics. Variable area flowmeters

Self-clinching fasteners
PENNENGINEERING, DANBORO, PA. PEM SpotFast fasteners paired with a specially designed wave washer allow reliable attachment of two thin metal parts in applications additionally requiring repeatable pivoting or hinging action. These self-clinching fasteners (Type SFW) permanently join the two metal components to create a flush-attachment connection without protrusions on either side. The compatible wave washer delivers consistent torsion to promote repeatable hinging action while attachment remains secure. The steel fasteners have zinc plating with integral lubricant to promote smoother operation. They can join dissimilar metals or sheets with different thicknesses, and install in steel or aluminum sheets as thin as 0.031 in./0.8 mm with hardness of 80 or less on the Rockwell “B” scale.
