FINDING A PUMP
Capability: Using the updated pump-selection software Pump-Flo 10, you can browse, evaluate, and analyze the centrifugal pumps featured in many manufacturers’ electronic catalogs. Upgraded features include the capability to determine the proper selection point for multiple pump operation. Users now can also select regenerative turbine pump styles. Also new is the option of selecting pumps in pressure units. A curve generator that automatically shows the system resistance curve on the pump graph is new as well. An atmospheric pressure calculator helps users determine their normal atmospheric pressure based on the local elevation. Versions are available in English, German, Italian, or Spanish.

CAM FOR CAD
Capability: The computer-aided manufacturing program RhinoCAM 2.0 is a plug-in CAM application for the CAD program Rhinoceros 4.0. It offers full data associativity and shares a user interface with that program. The upgrade introduces new toolpath generation methods as well as processing and productivity improvements. The CAM program includes three modules: standard, 4th Axis, and professional. The standard module provides general-purpose machining capabilities and includes 2½-axis, 3-axis, and hole-making operations. The 4th Axis module is an add-on for the standard module to allow for indexed and continuous roughing and finishing operations. The professional version is suitable for mold, die and tooling, woodworking, rapid prototyping, and general machining operations.
